Security
Security is a high priority issue for us. We want you to feel confident when you are shopping, and we want to know who our customers are..... We want this kind of assurance both when you visit our WEB and when you execute an order, but also after our deal is finished. We have established a number of measures to secure our mutual interests in a best possible way:
- To be accepted as a customer we verify 'your existens' by sending an activation-mail to your e-mail address. This ensures that 'you are you', and on your part - that no-one can register you as a customer without your knowledge.
- Customer accounts are password-protected. If you are inactive for about 20 minutes you will automatically be logged off (the same way as for online banking services)
- So called 'information capsules' or 'Cookies' are used for establishing a secure communication path between your WEB-browser and our WEB-shop application. (Read more about cookies here)
- We offer very secure online payment solutions with Verified by VISA and MasterCard SecureCode
- Our WEB-site and database is protected by firewalls
We will also strongly recommend you to install updated firewall-, antivirus- and anti-spyware software on your computer...regardless if you shop with us - or not. Online shopping with an unsecure PC is not recommended by anyone.....! Privacy issues
If you want to shop with us, you have to sign up for a customer-account. We want to stress, that we only collect the information necessary to facilitate trading with you. Your information will under NO circumstance be passed on to other parties. You are asked for the following:
- Name and Address
- Date of Birth
- E-mail address
- Telephone number
Date of Birth is collected, because Norwegian law states that noone below the age of 18 can make agreements that incure debts. If you are below 18, and wants to shop onlie with us, a responsible person above 18 has to be signed up in your personal address book (part of your customer-account) and be signed up for the 'billing address' during checkout of your shopping-cart.
Signing up for newsletters and similar
You may sign up on our WEB-site for (voluntary) subscription on news-letters, product-information and similar. Norwegian law require us to collect your approval before sending you this kind of information by e-mail. If you subscribe, it is considered an approval in compliance with law.
